Grouping of Pendants - Creating a statement piece

One bulb on its own will make the space look unfinished, but put 20 bulbs together, and you'll have a statement piece! Once you've found the kind of bulbs you like, just repeat it or find variations to it and group them. Have fun placing them above your dining table, on your entryway, or on your stairway!

How to "Select the right backsplash"

If you are replacing the backsplash in your kitchen, or just chosing one for a new kitchen, keep in mind some of the rules we designers use to find the best materials. 

1. If you can afford stone slabs, do it! nothing is more beautiful than mother nature and it's variations.

2. If your cabinets are white, use a darker stone as a contrast if you want a bold kitchen.

3. Try using the same color on your countertop as on your backsplash. If that is not possible, try matching it to the color of your cabinets.

4. light colors work better for tiled backsplashes, unless you are doing a saturated room color.

I discovered this artist through Pinterest. I find her work perfect for "shabby chic" interiors and baby's rooms because the composition of the pieces and the colors are out of a fairy tale. Something about the simplicity on the theme with the hues used is just "romantic".

Tees the season! with Candles

Prepare your candles for a romantic moment, the holidays, or just to simply relax! Use them to decorate your space, to set the mood, or as the perfect gift. However you use them is your choice, but one thing is for sure: Mix and Match is the trend! Not necessarily anymore with different colors, but different wood species, heights, widths, or variations in tone.

Trick: If you'll be placing candles on a table setting, choose an odd number (3 or 5). If you are getting more than 7 candles for multiple uses, then the number doesn't matter as long as you get enough to fill the space!
