Best Laundry Room Ideas

When designing your Laundry Room, keep in mind all of the functions that you'll be performing in that (usually) little space / area. Here are a few tricks on planing for your program:

1. Add a counter above your machines if they are not stacked on top of each other. That will allow you folding space as well as space for drying pieces that you might not want to hang.

2. Add shelving (If possible) above that counter for easy access to detergents, or to place your folded extra sheets , towels, clothes etc.

3. Include a little sink if possible! this will make your life easier for "only wash by hand" pieces.

4. Include full height hanging space. There is nothing worse than a laundry room without hanging space, because that means that you'll be using your dryer constantly, and that wears your clothes out faster.

5. Mount your hidden ironing board on a wall or closet. Even in the smallest spaces, there is usually space for a hidden ironing board. Select the folding style, and keep in mind if you are a righty or a lefty!
