1. Match the same color fabric of your chairs to your drapery.
3. Match the same wood and finish of your chairs and table, or create a high contrast with different species and finishes!
4. Use the same upholstery fabric of your dining chairs with some other pieces, or even pillows in the next room if you live in an open space style home! That will tie everything together.
5. Try upholstering the back of you chairs in a different fabric from the seat and above the seat area. Then try step 4 and you have (2) fabrics to play with!
6. Try upholstering your chairs in a lighter or darker tone than your paint job in the room. Always use the same hue, just change the saturation. Chromatic rooms are amazing if done well!
