How to make a dining area a space of it's own

Sometimes your entire house is too repetitive, so you want to do something special / different in a certain room. I would recommend you do this something special in the Dining Room. The Dining Room should be a space that welcomes conversation and where people feel comfortable. 

Please see examples below on how to break with the architecture and the rest of the furniture of the house with a different furniture style or color. All these Dining Rooms look great with their different styles, while separating themselves from what is going on around them, but without contrasting with the architecture or finishes throughout the house. Bright colors, textures, adding softness to a rustic and dark room with bright hues, combining styles and eras for architecture and furniture, or softening the hard architecture with some soft shades and classic designs,... These are all techniques that designers use regularly to call "attention"! to a unique space.
